Themis Lazarides BSc, MBA

Themis is an Economist (Μ.Β.Α), and currently he works as a Lecturer in the Department of Applied Informatics in Administration and Economy at the Technological Institute of West Macedonia, Grevena, Greece. His research interests focus on corporate governance and ES system design and implementation, organizational economics, information asymmetry, power and control equilibrium within the firm and business communications. His work has appeared in the Corporate Governance: An International Journal of Business in Society, Information Management & Computer Security and in various conferences.

Before joining TEI of West Macedonia he has worked as the head of operations for a financial firm for four years. Prior to that he has worked as a consultant and he was responsible for a number of projects.

 

Dr. Joyce Tsoi

Dr Joyce Tsoi is a Research Fellow of Brunel Research in Innovation, Enterprise, Sustainability and Ethics at Brunel Business School. She has vast experience of leading sustainability research and consultancy projects to multinationals in the UK, US, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

She works closely with industries in the areas of energy, organisational/ product carbon footprinting, and climate change; environmental and social compliance auditing; health and safety management; stakeholder engagement and its impact analysis and responsible supply-chain and waste management. She has successfully managed the enhancement of sustainability standards for multinationals’ supply chains.

 

  Dr. John Politis

Dr. Politis, Ph.D. in Management, has been recognised as the 2007-2008 ‘Faculty of the Year’ of Dubai Men’s College. Moreover, John has received from the Office of The Vice Chancellor the Merit Pay Bonus for the year 2007-2008, in recognition of his excellent performance. He is also a Teaching Excellence Award Winner, 2004, from the ACBSP Baccalaureate/ Graduate Degree Commission. In addition, he is the Literati Club Highly Commended Award Winner, 2004; and Literati Club Excellence Award Winner, 2002, for his Outstanding Research Papers.

Dr. Politis was a Pioneering Faculty and Curriculum Leader of the Engineering Management Program, Faculty of Business and Engineering, Higher Colleges of Technology, in the United Arab Emirates, and is currently a member of a number of editorial boards.

Before taking up this position, Dr. Politis was a lecturer and consultant at the University of Technology, Sydney; University of Western Sydney; Central Queensland University, Sydney International Campus; and Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Australia. He has also spent more than 18 years in Australia and Europe in a wide range of managerial roles.

 



Dr. Ioannis N. Lagoudis

Dr. Ioannis N. Lagoudis holds a first degree in Economics (1998) from the National and Capodistriac University of Athens. He obtained both his MSc (1999) and Ph.D. (2003) from Cardiff Business School at Cardiff University, Wales, specializing in Transport Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

He has published a number of papers in conferences and academic journals such Transportation Journal, European Business Review, International Journal of Transport Management and Maritime Policy and Management. He is an appointed lecturer at the Department of Shipping Trade and Transport at the University of the Aegean and at the School of Social Sciences at the Hellenic Open University.

 

Panagiotis Tsirogiannis

Panagiotis was born in Athens, April 11 1977. He was admitted in 2007 at the Athens Bar Association . He was admitted before the Athens Court of First Instance. He has received a Diploma in 2005 from the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Also he has received an MBA with Specialization in Small Business Administration and Enterprenership from Ecole Superiere de Gestion . He speaks  Greek, English and French and his  Practice Areas include Civil Law, Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions and Finance.

 

Dr. George Kaltchev

George has a PhD in Economics from US, where he received a National Science Foundation grant for the dissertation. He has specialized in corporate governance with a particular emphasis on the influence of the quality of corporate governance on shareholder litigation and directors’ and officers’ liability insurance. He has studied factors that determine the purchase of directors’ and officers’ liability insurance in US. His paper on that is published in  Panel Data Econometrics: Theoretical Contributions and Empirical Applications, 2006, edited by Badi Baltagi.  He has also consulted on those issues in US. He has presented at a number of conferences. He is a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the international honor society in Economics and the European Corporate Governance Institute.

He is teaching in International University College in Bulgaria.
